KING GEORGE — Millbrook High School’s competition cheer team finished as the runner-up to host King George at the 4A North Regional cheerleading championship on Saturday.

King George won with 221 points, edging runner-up Millbrook by 11/2 points. The top three teams finished within five points of each other with James Wood (216) taking third followed by Fauquier (212).

The Pioneers finished with two clean rounds with no technical or safety deductions.

The top four teams advance to the 4A state tournament.

Handley (1871/2) finished eighth, and Sherando (186) came in ninth.
