PENN LAIRD — Cold and rainy weather made conditions difficult at Lake View Golf Course on the first day of the two-day Group AA tournament Monday.

Add in some wind and the fact that it was James Wood sophomore Roger Repasky’s first time playing at the state level and the end result was not the round he was hoping to shoot.

Struggling with some accuracy issues at times, Repaksy shot a 93 on the par-72 course. The top score was even par.

“It was not a great day for golf,” said James Wood golf coach Al Smith. “[Repasky] went down and played the course well on Saturday and Sunday, but he struggled a little bit [Monday].”

Smith said he’s sure nerves played a role, but he hopes Repasky can bounce back today.

Repasky is scheduled to tee off at 9:30 a.m. with much better weather conditions.
