Golf - Colonels 2nd in tri

FRONT ROYAL — James Wood took second behind Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) but earned a Northwestern District win over Skyline in a tri match on the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club’s Red Nine Wednesday.

Led by Rhett Beddow (4-over 40) Berkeley Springs recorded a four-player score of 172 to edge James Wood (174, 1-0 Northwestern). Skyline (0-1) shot a 187.

For the Colonels, Tyler Mounts led the way with a 41, and he was followed by Ben Marsh (42), Hunter Hall (43) and Zac DeNitto (48).

The JWAA monthly meeting is held every first Monday of the month. The meeting time starts at 6:00 PM and is held in the school's library. All members are welcomed.
