Brett Loy

Sherando — Senior

Loy posted a stroke average of *70.9 (first in Winchester Frederick County). Won or shared the lead in 10 of his 12 compeitions. Won the Conference 21 West tournament by 7 strokes with a 71. Had the area’s best score at the 4A West Region tournament with a 75. Had a low score of 67 in the first round of the Bryan Gunter Memorial tournament.

 Josh Bianco

Sherando — Senior

Bianco posted a stroke average of *80.0 (second in Winchester-Frederick County). Placed 5th at the Conference 21 West tournament (81) and shot a 77 at the 4A West tournament. Tied Loy for first at the first Northwestern District mini with a 73.

Andy Kim

Millbrook — Senior

Kim posted a stroke average of *84.6 (fifth in Winchester-Frederick County). Placed seventh at the Conference 21 West tournament (82) and shot an 84 at the 4A West tournament. Shot an 81 at the 15-team Skyline Hawks Invitational for the area’s fourth-best score.

Tyler Mounts

James Wood — Junior

Mounts posted a stroke average of *82.6 (fourth in Winchester-Frederick County). Shot an 87 at both the Conference 21 West and 4A West Region tournaments. Shot a 75 to place second at the Conference 21 West mini tournament.

Jonah Pearson

Sherando — Senior

Pearson posted a stroke average of *81.5 (third in Winchester-Frederick County). Tied for 8th at the Conference 21 West tournament (84) and shot an 82 at the 4A West tournament. Shot a 74-79 — 153 at the 12-team Gunter Memorial tournament to tie for 7th.

Cameron Scheib

Clarke — Junior

Scheib posted a stroke average of 83.7. Placed second at the Conference 35 tournament with a 77 and shot an 84 at the 2A East Region tournament. Tied for ninth with a 78 at the 16-team Curly Licklider tournament.

Raul Viza-Fernandez

Clarke — Sophomore

Viza-Fernandez posted a stroke average of 81.7. He was the only local golfer to qualify for a state tournament (and the first Eagle since 2009), shooting an 86-78 — 164 in Group 2A. Tied for 6th at 2A East tournament (77) and placed 3rd at the Conference 35 tournament (81). Shot 37 in a dual match with George Mason.

JWAA Meetings

The JWAA monthly meeting is held every first Monday of the month. The meeting time starts at 6:00 PM and is held in the school's library. All members are welcomed.
