The Colonels' fourth-year coach, Al Smith, has to replace four key players and six seniors, but that doesn't mean his squad has lowered expectations.

Zach Drumheller, D.J. Jutze, Mike McIntire and Travis Viands graduated, but James Wood has talent coming up through the pipe.

"We've got a lot of young faces," Smith said, "but there's an opportunity here for a lot of guys to step up."

Among those are junior Dylan McKee and senior Nic Cybulski, who shot an 85 and 84, respectively, in the Curly Licklider tournament on Aug. 5.

Sophomore Kyle Hevner, freshman Russ Rapasky and senior Ricky Gadoury will also contribute.

"I think we've got a chance to be there come districts," Cybulski said. "With Handley, Sherando and Skyline [in the Northwestern], it's not going to be easy."
