PENN LAIRD — James Wood stayed perfect on the season with a 3-1 (25-13, 25-16, 24-26, 25-15) win over Spotswood in a non-district match on the road Tuesday.
The Colonels (3-0) were led by sophomore Katie Houser’s 15 kills and four aces and 20 assists apiece from setters Emilee Payne and Ashley Hillyard.
James Wood will play its home opener at 7 p.m. on Thursday when Musselman (W.Va.) comes to town.
