James Wood Blanks Skyline In Boys’ Soccer

WINCHESTER — Junior Skyler Newlin had a hat trick to lead James Wood to a 5-0 Northwestern District boys’ soccer victory over Skyline at Kelican Stadium on Thursday night.

James Wood (2-10, 2-4 district) built a commanding 3-0 lead at the half.

Sophomore Aidan Houser and senior Tommy Harper added goals for the Colonels.

Junior Colin Watts had a pair of assists, and Chris Francis and Liam Ebert each added an assist.

Junior goalkeeper Cole Morris made three saves for the Colonels, who halted an eight-match skid.
