NOKESVILLE — Kettle Run’s Joshua Wine scored on a penalty kick on the final play of the game to lift the Cougars over James Wood in the Colonels’ Class 4 Northwestern District opener on Wednesday.
James Wood coach Brian Sullivan said he did not agree with the call, which dropped his team to 0-1-1. Sullivan said the ref blew the final whistle after Wine’s penalty kick.
The Cougars had a 14-10 shot advantage. Hayden Armstrong had six saves for James Wood.
