Boys’ Tennis All-Area Team

Parker Wilson — Handley — Sophomore

Wilson went 20-4 at No. 1 singles and 21-1 at No. 1 doubles. In singles, Wilson became the first Handley player to qualify for a state tournament since 2007, where he lost in the semifinals. Wilson was a 4A North Region finalist and Conference 23 champion. In doubles, Wilson was a Group 4A state finalist and a 4A North Region and Conference 23 champion.

Matt Blaney — Sherando — Senior

Blaney played at No. 1 singles and doubles for the Warriors and was a Conference 21 quarterfinalist at both positions. Blaney led Sherando to an 8-5 overall and 5--3 Northwestern District record.

Evan Dokken — James Wood — Freshman

Dokken went 7-7 at No. 1 singles and won five matches at No. 1 doubles. Dokken was a Conference 21 singles semifinalist and doubles quarterfinalist.

Parker Dorsey — Handley — Senior

Dorsey went 10-5 at No. 3 singles and also played No. 2 doubles. Dorsey helped Handley go 14-3, advance to the 4A North Region semifinals, and win the Conference 23 title.

Carter Watts — Handley — Sophomore

Watts went 19-2 at No. 2 singles and 21-1 at No. 1 doubles. In singles, Watts was a 4A North Region quarterfinalist and Conference 23 finalist. In doubles, Watts was a Group 4A state finalist and a 4A North Region and Conference 23 champion.

Hayden Wilfong — Millbrook — Freshman

Wilfong went 12-5 at No. 1 singles and 13-3 at No. 1 doubles. Wilfong was a Conference 21 doubles semifinalist and singles quarterfinalist.
