WINCHESTER — Handley’s Jack Volinsky will face James Wood’s Noah Borromeo for the singles title today in the Class 4 Northwestern District boys’ tennis individual tournament on Wednesday at the Stonebrook Club.

Volinsky, who had a bye in the first round, defeated Fauquier’s Alan Trumdo 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals. Borromeo knocked of Millbrook’s Nathan Wiens 6-0, 6-2 in the other semifinal.

Their title match will be held at approximately 2:20 p.m. today at the Stonebrook Club.

With a forecast of poor weather, the girls’ doubles semifinals and finals are slated for 1 and 3 p.m. on Friday at Stonebrook. The boys’ doubles semifinals will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Winchester Country Club and will be followed by the title match.
