Colonels Girls’ Soccer Blanks Hawks 4-0

FRONT ROYAL — Coming off a loss against Millbrook on Tuesday, the James Wood girls’ soccer team took out some frustrations on Skyline in a 4-0 win on the road Thursday.

The game was a non-district contest — the two teams will play two more times in the Northwestern District — and the Colonels (3-1-1) were in control from the start.

Victoria Miller, Abigail Lanham, Alex Stanford and Marissa Maddalena all scored for James Wood, and Stanford, Maddalena and Leah Hancock tallied assists.

Goalkeepers Emily Woods-Hulse and Hancock combined for four saves in the win.
