All-Area Girls' Soccer First Team

Hannah Max

SVCA — Senior — Midfielder

Max had 30 goals and led the area with 18 assists. NACA All-American and NACA all-tournament team selection. Mason Dixon Christian Conference Player of the Year. Will play at Wheaton (Ill.) College.

 

Sarah Max

SVCA ­­— Sophomore — Forward

Max led the area with 35 goals and had 13 assists. NACA All-American and NACA tournament Offensive MVP. Mason Dixon Christian Conference 1st team selection.

Sydney Staples

Clarke ­­— Junior — Midfielder

Staples had 10 goals and 3 assists. Group 2A all-state 2nd team and 2A East Region, Conference 35 and Bull Run District 1st team selection.

Emma Ricci

Handley ­— Freshman — Forward

Ricci had a team-high 22 goals and added 6 assists. 4A West Region 2nd team selection. Conference 21 West Player of the Year.

Katie Padgett

Wood — Sophomore — Forward

Padgett had a team-high 25 goals and added 10 assists. 4A West Region honorable mention and Conference 21 West 1st team selection.

Kara Johnson

Handley ­— Senior — Midfielder

Johnson had 7 goals and a team-high 7 assists. 4A West Region 2nd team and Conference 21 West 1st team selection. Will play at Roanoke College.

Natalie DeArment

Handley —­ Senior — Defender

DeArment had 3 goals and 3 assists. 4A West Region honorable mention and Conference 21 West 1st team selection.

Neary Casebolt

Wood ­— Senior — Defender

Casebolt had 2 goals and 2 assists. 4A West Region honorable mention and Conference 21 West 1st team selection.

 

Danielle Toone

Clarke — Junior — Midfielder

Toone had a team-high 16 goals and 6 assists. Conference 35 and Bull Run District 1st team selection.

Amanda Kesler

Handley — Junior — Goalkeeper

Kesler had 5 shutouts and 6.1 saves per game. Conference 21 West 1st team selection.

Alexa Fairis

Sherando — Junior — Defender

Fairis had a team-high 12 goals and added 8 assists. Conference 21 West 1st team selection.
