Warriors open district with win at James Wood

WIinchester — Krista DeCeault scored twice and also had an assist as the Sherando High School girls’ soccer team beat host James Wood 5-1 in the Northwestern District opener for both teams Friday night.

Brittini Dennis added three assists for the Warriors (4-1-1), moving her into third all-time at the school in that category with 25.

Lainie Weadon also scored two goals for Sherando, which outshotthe Colonels 24-3. Rebekah Witt has the other goal, and Jenny Ice also had an assist.
