Judges sweep Wood in tennis

WINCHESTER — Handley’s Sarah Moomau edged James Wood’s Headley Wilson 11-9 in a matchup of the Northwestern District’s top two girls’ tennis singles players Tuesday, but that was the only close match of the afternoon as the Judges blanked the Colonels 9-0.

Visiting Handley (3-0) only dropped four other games total, extending its winning streak to 70 matches.

Katie Gordon (No. 2), Jessica Nolan (3), Taryn Burke (4), Hannah Skedsvold (5) and Fionna Surette (6) joined Moomau in winning singles and doubles matches.
