SOFTBALL - Bulldogs 9, Colonels 5

LURAY — James Wood scored the first four runs of the game but could not hold onto the lead in a non-district loss on the road at Luray Monday.

The Colonels (2-7) scored three in the first inning and led 5-4 after five innings, but the host Bulldogs pushed across five in the bottom half of the sixth.

Freshman Alyssa Brown went 3 for 4, senior Kierstyn Peacoe went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI and senior Whitney Dick went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI in the loss.
