All-Area Softball First Team

Hannah Lockhart — Sherando — Senior — Pitcher

A first-team selection in both the Northwestern District and Conference 21, Lockhart led the area hitting .500 with 28 RBIs and 12 runs. She also led the area with a 14-6 record with an area-best 119 strikeouts in 1111/3 innings. She earned honorable mention All-4A North Region honors and is The Winchester Star’s Player of the Year.

Lauren King — James Wood — Freshman — Pitcher

In her first varsity season, King posted a 9-3 record in the circle and led the Colonels in wins, strikeouts (95 in 811/3 innings) and saves (three). She also hit .333 with 15 RBIs and 11 runs. She was a second-team selection in Conference 21.

Lindsey Anderson — James Wood — Freshman — Catcher

A first team All-Northwestern District and Conference 21 selection, Anderson led the Colonels hitting .429 and drove in a team-high 27 RBIs. She scored nine runs and only struck out twice in 70 at bats in her first varsity season.

Courteney Harper — James Wood — Sophomore — Infielder

Earning first team All-Northwestern District and Conference 21 honors, Harper led the Colonels with 27 runs and batted .356 with 14 RBIs. She also led the team with a .542 on-base percentage.

Jaime Hoggatt — Clarke County — Senior — Infielder

A second-team selection in the Bull Run District, Hoggatt led Clarke County batting .432 and with a team-high 32 runs. She also had 11 RBIs and ranked second with a .506 on-base percentage.

Lexi Schlag — Sherando — Junior — Infielder

A transfer from Strasburg, Schlag earned first-team honors in the Northwestern District and second-team honors in Conference 21. She batted .482 with 30 runs and 20 RBIs and went 13 for 13 in stolen bases. She also had 12 extra base hits with three homers, two triples and seven doubles.

Heidi Brown — Sherando — Senior — Infielder

Earning first team All-Northwestern District and second team All-Conference 21 honors, Brown batted .411 with 26 runs and 18 RBIs. She also went 11 for 11 in stolen bases and posted a 2-0 record (with 10 Ks in 11 IP) as a pitcher.

Carly Nixon — Sherando — Senior — Outfielder

Nixon led the area in runs (38), stolen bases (24 for 24) and triples (seven) and batted .443 with 23 RBIs. She was named the Northwestern District Player of the Year and earned first team All-Conference 21 honors and second team All-4A North Region honors.

Chelsea Trenary — Clarke County — Freshman — Outfielder

In her first varsity season, Trenary ranked second on her team hitting .392 with three home runs, 26 RBIs, 24 runs, eight doubles and seven stolen bases.

Kenzie Garrett — James Wood — Senior — Outfielder

Earning first team All-Northwestern District and All-Conference 21 honors, Garrett ranked second on her team hitting .377 with 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored. Her .459 on-base percentage ranked third best for the Colonels.

Sarah Clark — Millbrook — Senior — Utility

A first-team selection for both the Northwestern District and Conference 21, Clark led the Pioneers in batting average (.476), doubles (seven), triples (six), on-base percentage (.569) and slugging percentage (.778) and ranked second on her team with 25 RBIs.

Katie Manson — Sherando — Senior — Utility

Manson led the area with 35 RBIs and tied with a team-best three home runs while hitting .342. Manson earned first team All-Northwestern District honors and second team All-Conference 21 honors.
