WINCHESTER — Lani Spielman and Lauren King combined for a one-hit shutout to lead James Wood to a Conference 21 West and Northwestern District win over Millbrook on Thursday at Millbrook.

Spielman started and pitched three innings and struck out five and King pitched two innings and struck out four for James Wood (9-2 overall, 2-0 conference, 2-0 district).

Alyssa Brown (2-3 with a triple and a double), Spielman (2-3 with a double), Emma Van Horn (2-2) and Courteney Harper (1-1 with two walks and three RBIs) led James Wood at the plate.

Millbrook is 0-10 overall, 0-3 in the conference and 0-1 in the district.
