Wood’s King Throws No-Hitter

SPRING MILLS, W.Va. — Lauren King tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 to leads James Wood to a non-district softball victory over Spring Mills (W.Va.) on Saturday.

King allowed just one runner to reach base, issuing a walk in the sixth inning to end her bid for a perfect game.

Alyssa Brown went 3 for 5 andscored three runs, and Lindsey Anderson went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and drove in four runs for the Colonels

James Wood’s Courteney Harper went 2 for 4.
