All-Area Softball First Team

Lindsey Anderson — James Wood — Sophomore — Catcher
A first team All-Conference 21 West selection and second team all-state pick, Anderson batted a team-best .449 and led the Colonels with eight home runs and 36 RBIs and scored 21 runs. She led the team with 31 hits, 18 of which went for extra bases (seven doubles, three triples, eight homers).

Lani Spielman — James Wood — Sophomore — Pitcher
Earning first team All-Conference 21 West and second team all-state honors, Spielman led the Colonels with a 10-5 record and a 0.90 earned-run average. She also struck out a team-high 114 batters in 62 innings. Spielman also hit .306 with 16 RBIs and 14 runs.

Lauren King — James Wood — Sophomore — Pitcher
A second team All-Conference 21 West selection, King posted a 5-3 record with 91 strikeouts in 54 innings. She posted a 1.69 ERA. Offensively, she hit .356 with 21 RBIs and 15 runs, helping Wood tie the team record with 16 wins for the second straight year.

Courteney Harper — James Wood — Junior — Infielder
Earning first team All-Conference 21 West honors, Harper hit .371 with two homers, 24 RBIs and led the Colonels with 18 walks and 25 runs. She also had six doubles, nine stolen bases and struck out just three times in 70 at-bats.

Madison Clark — Sherando — Senior — Infielder
Clark batted .422 with eight doubles, 18 RBIs and 16 runs. She also stole four bases. Defensively, she had 36 putouts and a team-high 41 assists.

Alyssa Brown — James Wood — Junior — Infielder
A second team All-Conference 21 West selection, Brown hit .439 with 19 runs and 12 RBIs. She also had eight stolen bases, three doubles and one home run.

Kendall Benoit — Clarke — Junior — Infielder
A second team All-Bull Run District selection, Benoit batted .361 with 17 RBIs and a team-high 19 runs and 14 stolen bases. She also had four doubles, three triples and struck out just twice in 72 at-bats.

Dani Edmonds — Sherando — Senior — Outfielder
Earning first team All-Conference 21 West honors, Edmonds led Sherando with 31 hits and 17 stolen bases. She ranked second hitting .470 with 17 runs and eight RBIs.

River Baird — Sherando — Freshman — Outfielder
A second team All-Conference 21 West selection, Baird led Sherando batting .481. She had three homers, three triples, nine doubles and scored 17 runs with 20 RBIs. In the circle, she went 4-4 with two saves and a no-hitter. She struck out 42 in 551/3 innings.

Tori Seymour — Sherando — Sophomore — Outfielder
Seymour batted .415 with a team-high 24 runs. She hit five home runs, four triples and six doubles and went 6 for 6 in stolen bases.

Chelsea Trenary — Clarke — Sophomore — Utility
Earning second team All-Bull Run District honors, Trenary hit .368 with a team-high 18 RBIs and 11 doubles. She also ranked second for the Eagles with 16 runs.

Meghan Stokes — Handley — Freshman — Utility
A first team All-Conference 21 West selection, Stokes led the Judges in most offensive categories, including batting average (.479), runs (20), RBIs (10, tied), on-base percentage (.519) and slugging percentage (.729). She also had 12 stolen bases. In the circle, she had two wins and 44 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings.
