SOFTBALL - Wood’s Anderson named to 2nd team

James Wood junior catcher Lindsey Anderson was named to the All-4A West Region second team to highlight selections that were released on Tuesday.

Six other local players received honorable mention: James Wood junior pitcher Lauren King, senior shortstop Courteney Harper, junior outfielder Camryn Rizzari, sophomore outfielder Emma Van Horn; and Sherando junior first baseman Korenn Paige and sophomore outfielder Brooke Moses.

The Player of the Year is Jefferson Forest senior catcher Ashley Jennings, the Pitcher of the Year is Woodgrove junior Camryn Dolby, and the Coach of the Year is Woodgrove’s Joseph Spicer.
