Softball: Colonels 11, Judges 0

WINCHESTER- Kierstyn Peacoe struck out 11 batters over five innings as James Wood blanked visiting Handley in a Northwestern District game Monday night.

The game was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.

Peacoe (11-3) scattered two hits and four walks.

Offensively, Morgan Sykes went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and three runs, and Erin McCarthy was 2 for 2 with two runs and three RBIs.

Jessy Shipman and Ashley Siburt each had a single for the Judges.
