Colonel girls 2nd in meet

FRONT ROYAL — The James Wood girls took second and the boys took third in a five-team meet Wednesday at Warren County High School.

The Colonel girls scored 108.5 points to finish behind Fauquier (132.5).

Winning for James Wood were Katie Houser in the high jump (5 feet, 4 inches), Loralee Tyler in the discus (85-1), Sarah Johnson in the shot put (28-4) and the 4x400 team of Morgan Craig, Laura Seymour, Houser and Taje Usher (4 minutes, 28.5 seconds).

The Colonel boys scored 82 points to finish behind Skyline (103.66) and Fauquier (93).

Winning for James Wood were Cody Wright in the 400 (52.11) and 800 (2:03.20), Dylan Wilson in the 1,600 (4:44.40), Joe Davet in the 3,200 (10:11.60), Anthony Ingle in the triple jump (44-2) and Joey Bynog in the discus (136-7).
