GIRLS’ TRACK & FIELD - Last Chance Invitational

WINCHESTER — Sherando sophomore Davina Lane won the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles to lead all local athletes Friday at the Millbrook Last Chance Invitational.

No team scores were kept at the 16-team event that included all five local high schools.

Lane recorded a time of 15.42 seconds in the 100 hurdles and 45.80 in the 300 hurdles.

Also for Sherando, Ania Summers took second in the 200 (26.99), Paige Conner placed third in the 3,200 (12:01.24) and the 4x800 team of Andi Crosby, Conner, Haley Powers and Katie Rogers took third in 10:04.16.

For James Wood, the 4x100 team of Princess Sales, Becca Ferrulli, Jamie Marcy and Kara Norman took first in 52.06, Rene Rosso took second in the 100 hurdles (16.76), third in the long jump (16-7) and third in the triple jump (33-1), Grace Greene took second in the discus (107-6) and Sarah Johnson took second in the shot put (32-6).

For Handley, the 4x400 team of Miriah Smith, Abby Swartz, Mya Mintschenko and Alysandra Worrell won in 4:12.17. Worrell took second in the 100 (13.10) and third in the 400 (1:03.04) and Smith took third in the 100 hurdles (16.92) and third in the 300 hurdles (48.52).

For Milbrook, McKenzie Schrank placed second in the 300 hurdles (46.83) and teamed with Hannah Croyle, Nadia Dahimene and Mellany Groll to take second in the 4x800 (10:03.10). Mia VanderToorn took second in the long jump (16-10 ¾) and triple jump (33-9).

For Clarke County, Kolby Parrott placed third in the 200 (27.48) and Madison McLean placed third in the high jump (4-11). Those two teamed with Eve Lettau and Catherine Lewis to place third in the 4x400 (4:18.62).
