Wood’s Ferrulli To Compete In Track For Shenandoah

WINCHESTER — James Wood senior Becca Ferrulli announced her commitment to continue her track and field career at Shenandoah University during a ceremony at James Wood High School last week.

Ferrulli, a four-year member of the track team, earned Winchester Star all-area honors last year.

At the Conference 21 meet, Ferrulli placed third in the triple jump and the 400 and placed seventh in the long jump. Ferrulli ranked second in the area last year with a top triple jump of 35-11/2, which is also tied for seventh-best in school history.

Ferrulli also ran on the 4x100 team that set a school record (50.75). The relay placed 14th at the Group 4A state meet.

Ferrulli also competed in indoor track her senior year and is this year’s Varsity Club co-president.
