Cameron Faint

Millbrook — Senior Hurdles, Middle Distance

Faint was the Group 4A state champion in the 300 hurdles and took 3rd (all-state) in the 110 hurdles. Posted the area’s fastest times in the 110H (14.60), 300H (38.08) and 400 (50.29) and No. 2 time in 800 (2:01.88). 4A West: 1st in 110 H, 2nd in 300H. C21 West: 1st in 110H, 300H and 800. Will compete at George Mason.

Trey Causey

Handley — Junior Jumps, Sprints

Causey posted the area’s best mark in the high jump (6-8.25 to take 10th at New Balance Outdoor Nationals) and No. 2 marks in the triple jump (44-4) and 100 (11.22). All-state in 2 events at Group 4A meet: 2nd in HJ and 7th in TJ, also 18th in 100. 4A West: 1st in HJ, 6th in 100, 7th in TJ. C21 West: 1st in HJ and TJ, 2nd in 100, 3rd in long jump.

Alec Schrank

Millbrook — Senior Distance

Schrank was the Group 4A state champion in the 3,200. Posted the area’s fastest times in the 800 (1:59.12), 1,600 (4:21.61) and 3,200 (9:16.25). 4A West Region: 3rd in 1,600, 6th in 800. Conference 21 West: 1st in 1,600 and 3,200. Will compete at Air Force.

Jacquari Hayes

Sherando — Senior Jumps, Sprints

Hayes posted the area’s No. 2 mark in the long jump (22-2.25) and No. 3 marks in triple jump (44-0.5) and 200 (23.17). 4A state meet: 5th (all-state) in LJ, 9th in TJ. Hamstring injury kept Hayes from competing in region meet and most of conference meet.

Isaiah Allen

Sherando — Sophomore Throws

Allen posted the area’s best marks in the shot put (55-6) and discus (158-0). All-state in 2 events at Group 4A meet: 2nd in shot put, 4th in discus. 4A West Region: 1st in shot put, 6th in discus. Conference 21 West: 1st in discus, 3rd in shot put.

Sam Johnson

Sherando — Senior Throws

Johnson posted the area’s No. 2 marks in the shot put (51-0) and discus (140-6). 4A state meet: 7th (all-state) in shot put, 15th in discus. 4A West: 3rd in shot put. C21 West: 1st in shot put, 2nd in discus.

John Delaney

Handley — Junior Distance

Delaney posted the area’s No. 2 times in the 1,600 (4:25.89) and 3,200 (9:36.85). 4A state meet: 6th (all-state) in 3,200, 17th in 1,600. 4A West: 1st in 3,200. C21 West: 2nd in 1,600 and 3,200.

Andy Bonett

Clarke — Senior Hurdles, Jumps, Throws

All-state in 2 events at Group 2A meet: 110 hurdles (16.51), 6th in triple jump (43-4.5), also 15th in long jump. 2A East: 1st in TJ, 5th in 110H, 7th in LJ, 7th in discus. C35: 1st in TJ, LJ and 110H.

T.J. Washington

Sherando — Sophomore Jumps

Washington posted the area’s best marks in the triple jump (46-1.25) and long jump (22-3.25). 4A state meet: 2nd (all-state) in TJ, 9th in HJ. 4A West: 1st in LJ, 6th in TJ. C21 West: 1st in LJ, 3rd in TJ.

Chris Vitagliano

Wood — Senior Jumps, Sprints

Vitagliano posted the area’s No. 3 mark in the long jump (21-6). 4A state meet: 6th (all-state) in LJ. 4A West: 4th in LJ. C21 West: 2nd in LJ, 6th in TJ, 2nd in 200, 4th in 100.

Tanner Dinkins

Clarke — Senior Sprints

Dinkins posted the area’s fastest times in the 100 (11.13) and 200 (22.96). Group 2A state meet: 5th (all-state) in 100, 9th in 200. 2A East: 5th in 100, 8th in 200. C35: 1st in 200, 3rd in 100.

Andrew Smith

Millbrook — Senior Hurdles

Smith posted the area’s No. 2 time in the 110 hurdles (15.32). 4A state meet: 9th in 110H. 4A West: 5th in 110H. C21 West: 3rd in 110H and 300 hurdles.

Hayden Williams

Sherando — Junior Distance

Williams posted the area’s No. 3 times in the 1,600 (4:30.28) and 3,200 (9:41.80). 4A state meet: 19th in 1,600, 21st in 3,200. C21 West: 5th in 1,600.

Antwon Rodgers

Millbrook — Senior Jumps

Rodgers placed 13th at the Group 4A state meet in the triple jump and had a top mark of 43-11 this year. C21 West: 2nd in TJ, 5th in long jump.

Josh Davis

Millbrook — Senior Sprints

Davis posted the area’s No. 2 marks in the 200 (23.15) and 400 (51.25). C21 West: 1st in the 200 and 400, 3rd in the 100.

JWAA Meetings

The JWAA monthly meeting is held every first Monday of the month. The meeting time starts at 6:00 PM and is held in the school's library. All members are welcomed.
