Colonels 87, Huskies 84

WINCHESTER- The James Wood boys' basketball team used a big second quarter to knock off Tuscarora 87-84 in a non-district game Wednesday night.

The Colonels (8-12) trailed by 12 after the first eight minutes of play, but a 24-9 second quarter gave them the lead at halftime and they would hold on in the second half.

Four different James Wood players scored in double figures, with junior guard Michael Carter totaling a team-high 22 points to go along with five steals.

Fellow junior T.J. Bruce added 15 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in the win.
