Raiders 66, Colonels 59

LEESBURG — No. 5 James Wood mounted a rally in the fourth quarter but ended up falling short in a loss to No. 4 Loudoun County in the Region II, Division 4 quarterfinals Tuesday evening.

The Colonels (11-15) got a team-high 15 points from Michael Carter and 12 points from Ryland Williams. Junior Cam Butler added 10 points in the loss.

James Wood, which hit seven 3-pointers in the game, trailed 49-35 heading into the fourth quarter before outscoring the host Raiders 24-17 over the final eight minutes.
