WINCHESTER — Chandler Brooks scored a career-high 30 points to lead James Wood to a Northwestern District win over Skyline.

Brooks, who went 7 of 12 from the free-throw line, added 14 rebounds, eight steals and five assists for the Colonels, who ran their winning streak to four games.

James Wood (11-5, 2-2 district) led 34-32 after three quarters but pulled away by outscoring the Hawks 21-14 in the fourth.

Andrew Hinebaugh scored six points and had six rebounds for James Wood.

TraQuan Diamond led the Hawks (6-10, 0-4 district) with 16 points. Skyline’s Antwan Swain added 12 points, and Max Meador finished with 10.
