Girl's Basketball - Colonels 49, Falcons 33

WOODSTOCK — Haley Smith scored 15 points and pulled down 14 rebounds Monday to lead James Wood to a 49-33 Northwestern District girls’ basketball victory over Central.

The Colonels (5-7, 5-2) led 24-19 at halftime but put the game away by outscoring the Falcons 16-3 in the third period.

Heather Armel added 11 points and Whitney Dennis chipped in with seven assists and four steals.

Central hurt itself by hitting just 12 of 32 foul shots.
