FRONT ROYAL — One game after setting the James Wood girls’ basketball scoring record, Heather Armel went over 1,000 points for her career in Monday’s 49-27 victory over Warren County.

Armel scored 23 points for the Colonels, who used an early 15-0 run to pull away.

Tori Eaton added 10 points for Wood (6-8, 6-3).

Taylor Walton paced the Wildcats with eight points.
