Colonels 69, Cougars 27

Nokesville — Heather Armel scored 19 points and Shannon Thorne and Haley Smith both had double-doubles as James Wood defeated Kettle Run 69-27 in Friday night’s Northwestern District contest.

Smith scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Thorne posted her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

James Wood (8-8 overall, 8-3 district) led 36-16 at the half and scored 21 points in both the second and third quarters.
