CHARLES TOWN , W.Va. — Makayla Firebaugh scored 22 points to lead James Wood to a non-district victory over Washington on Wednesday night.

Firebaugh also led the Colonels in rebounds (nine), assists (five) and steals (four).

The Colonels (5-1) outscored the Patriots 21-9 in the second quarter to take a 34-21 lead at the half.

Senior Amanda Christian added 20 points, including six 3-pointers, for the Colonels.

Amber Wooldridge added eight points, three assists and three steals for James Wood.
