WINCHESTER — Liberty maintained its hold on second place in the Northwestern District with a romp against third-place James Wood on Tuesday.
The Eagles (12-4, 7-2 district) took control from the start, outscoring the Colonels 19-9 in the first quarter and taking a 39-17 halftime lead.
Makayla Firebaugh led the Colonels (14-5, 5-4) with 21 points and eight rebounds. Amber Wooldridge added 13 points. Only five James Wood players scored.
