Emalee Firestein
James Wood — Junior
Firestein led the area in the 500 free, and at the state meet she was 13th in that event (5:27.49) and 14th in the 200 free (2:03.26). Firestein, the district champion in the 500 free, was fifth in the 400-meter free in Region II.
Alex Lew
James Wood — Freshman
Lew was 33rd in the 100 free (59.61) and 48th in the 50 free (27.25) at the state meet. In the 50 free, Lew was third in the district, and in the 100 free, she was seventh in Region II and third in the district.
Kaye Whitacre
James Wood — Freshman
Whitacre led the area in the 100 breaststroke, and she was 13th in the state in the event (1:12.03). Whitacre, the district champion in the breaststroke, placed sixth in Region II in the event.
