STRASBURG — The James Wood boys’ and girls’ swimming teams each swept a quad competition Wednesday night at Signal Knob Recreation Center.
The Colonels boys defeated Central 104-38, Musselman (W.Va.) 98-64 and Stonewall Jackson 100-54. James Wood was led by Kevin Carver, who won the 200 individual medley in a state-qualifying time of 2 minutes, 11.33 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 52.59, and Greg Anderson, who captured the 100 butterfly (1:06.59) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.33).
