HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — James Wood’s seventh-inning rally came up short in a 9-8 baseball loss to host Hedgesville (W.Va.) on Monday.

The Colonels scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to forge an 8-8 tie, but the Eagles responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to earn the victory.

Alan Gleske went 2-for-2 and slammed a three-run home run for James Wood (2-13).

Brock Lockhart, who earned the loss in relief for the Colonels, added a 2-for-3 effort with two RBIs for James Wood.
