WINCHESTER — James Wood scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come back and defeat Liberty on Tuesday.
The Colonels (4-2, 1-1 Class 4 Northwestern District) trailed 4-3 heading into the sixth before piling on six runs to take a five-run lead with one inning to go. Lane Herring closed the game on the mound, finishing with six strikeouts and allowing two hits and two runs in 4.0 innings.
