Baseball: Wood too much for Pioneers

Winchester — When Travis Viands bunted to drive home a run in the bottom of the fifth inning Friday night, it was obvious the James Wood High School baseball team had a sense of urgency.

Never mind that the Colonels already led by six runs.

Viands’ bunt, followed by a Tim Spore triple and another successful squeeze by Hunter Leight, capped a seven-run rally as Wood finished off Millbrook 14-4 in a game called by the 10-run rule at R. Charles Hott Field.
