FRONT ROYAL– Skyline scored five runs in the first inning and held on for a Northwestern District victory over visiting James Wood on Thursday.
Joe Bass struck out five in 6 innings of work for the Hawks (10-9, 5-2).
Tyler Dick went 2 for 4 with a double and a home run for the Colonels (5-12, 2-5), and Daniel Garber was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
