FRONT ROYAL — James Wood rallied from 13 points down to start the final quarter and had the ball with a chance to win before Skyline held on for the win.
Led by Cam Firebaugh who scored a career-high 30 points, the Colonels (3-3) closed to within 52-51 with 10 seconds to play. The Hawks missed a one-and-one giving Wood a chance, but Skyline regained possession after a tie-up and made two free throws with four seconds left to close out the game.
Firebaugh added 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Bennett Smith had six points and six rebounds for the Colonels.
Dylan Alison had 14 points to lead the Hawks (3-2), who outscored the Colonels 21-9 in the third quarter.
