Boys’ Basketball – All-Region 4D

Handley sophomore Will-Braun Duin was named the Player of the Year and the Judges’ Zach Harrell-Zook was selected as the Coach of the Year to highlight local selections for the All-Region 4D team released Monday.

In the regular season, Braun-Duin led the area in scoring (28.0 points per game), rebounds (6.7), steals (2.7), free throw percentage (86.9) and 3-pointers made (80 on 173 attempts a for percentage of 46.2). He also averaged 3.3 assists per game (second) and made 53.9 percent of his shots (fourth).

Harrell-Zook has guided Handley to a 24-1 record and the Judges’ first region title since 2021. The Judges — who also went a perfect 8-0 in Class 4 Northwestern Distict games — will host Heritage (Leesburg) at 7 p.m. in Tuesday’s Class 4 quarterfinals.

Joining Braun-Duin on the first team are Handley teammates Christian Dinges and Kyren Oglesby (junior forwards).

Millbrook guards Shawn Rooks (senior) and Rylee Baker (junior) made the Second Team.

Honorable Mention selections are Sherando junior forwards Sean Benton and Jackson Ogle and James Wood junior guards Brodie Sirbaugh and Ashby Copenhaver.
