WINCHESTER — James Wood earned a season split and improved to 8-7 with a win over Fauquier on Thursday .
The game was tied 29-29 at the half. Fauquier took a 45-44 lead after three quarters, but James Wood led 64-60 with 1:02 left and 66-63 with 19 seconds remaining.
