STEPHENS CITY— The top-seeded Sherando High School boys’ tennis team dropped only six official games in beating No. 4 James Wood Thursday in the Northwestern District semifinals.
For Sherando (16-0), No. 1 Kaleb Nguyen and No. 4 Nick Lee each won in straight sets without dropping a game. No. 6 Chris Mikus dropped just one game, No. 2 Trevor Scott lost two and No. 3 Trey Scott dropped three.
The Warriors will face No. 2 Handley at 4 p.m. today at Millbrook for the tournament championship.
