Wood boys win district
FRONT ROYAL- The James Wood boys clinched the Northwestern District regular season title by beating Skyline as part of a tri-meet at Skyline High School.
The Colonels (4-0 Northwestern) defeated the Hawks 86-46 and Randolph-Macon Academy 122-0.
Nine different individuals won events for James Wood, though times and marks were not available. The Colonels’ winners were John Simms (100 meters), Mason Smith (200), Ben Jenkins (400), Cody Wright (800), Jacob Sunderlin (1,600), Joe Davet (3,200), Ben Jenkins (110 hurdles), Chris Gardner (shot put) and Joey Bynog (discus). James Wood also swept the 4×100, 4×400 and 4×800 relays.
