WINCHESTER — Alex Stanford had a goal and an assist to lead the James Wood girls’ soccer team to a 2-0 Northwestern District win over Handley Tuesday night at the Handley Bowl.
Emily Denton assisted Stanford 10 minutes into the game and Stanford assisted Neary Casebolt 20 minutes in for the Colonels (6-3-2, 4-1-1 Northwestern). Charlie Woods-Hulse made three saves in the shutout of Handley (5-3-3, 1-1-3).
