WINCHESTER — The James Wood High School boys and the Sherando girls swept a track and field tri meet between the Frederick County schools Thursday night at James Wood.
The Colonels boys defeated Millbrook 102-30 and Sherando 106-26. The Pioneers beat the Warriors 77-55.
James Wood, which won every event except for two, was led by two double-winners. John Simms took the 100 meters (11.2 seconds) and 200 (23.30) and Darin Longerbeam won the 800 (2:03.50) and the 1,600 (4:42.90).
