The James Wood High School wrestling team pulled off a rare feat Wednesday by getting two 74-0 shutout victories over Handley and Central in a tri-match.
The Colonels (24-4) got two pins from Evan Creswell (103) Gage Swartz (112), Sam Pollard (119), Cory Schrock (145), Josh Shaffer (152), Seth Fauver (171), Mark Bean (189), and Austin Woodall (285).
Handley edged Central 39-38. Ben Clark’s pin at 152 clinched it for the Judges (7-9). Other Handley wrestlers to record pins were Braxton Terry (103), Chris Burke (125), Cory Crenshaw (130), and DeAndre Johnson (215).
