WINCHESTER — Sophomore Rene Rosso won three individual events to lead the James Wood girls’ track and field team to a 95-37 Northwestern District dual meet win over Millbrook on Wednesday at the Colonels’ Kelican Stadium.
Rosso won the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 2 inches, the 100-meter hurdles in 15.3 seconds and the 400 in 1:04.1. Double individual winners for James Wood were Grace Greene (shot put, 35-11 and discus, 120-6) and Princess Sales (100 in 12.7 and 200 in 27.1).
Others who won for James Wood were Kara Norman (long jump, 14-3 3 / 4 ), Becca Ferrulli (32-10), the 4×800 team of Sophia Dorsey, Maria Harter, Lydia Sunderlin and Haley Witt (12:31.8), the 4×100 team of Sophia Addison, Ferrulli, Norman and Sales (51.3) and the 4×400 team of Rhiannon Bradford, Alina Hackney, Kaitlyn Litton and Kayla Shaffer (4:29.2).
Millbrook’s winners were Emily Muldowney (1,600, 5:44), Ashley Bigler (300 hurdles, 53.9) Maddie Lloyd (800, 2:43.6) and Sophie Edlich (3,200, 12:49.21).
