Winchester — Mired in a six game losing streak and sitting at the bottom of the Northwestern District standings, the James Wood High School softball team was looking for that breakout inning or outstanding individual performance that could start to turn the season around.
The Colonels may have gotten both as they rode two big innings and the performance of senior pitcher Amanda Morrison to a 10-1 thumping of Warren County on Wednesday.
