James Wood bats remain hot in win over Culpeper Co.

WINCHESTER — James Wood batters continued to wreak destruction on Class 4 Northwestern District pitchers as the Colonels whipped Culpeper County 14-2 in five innings at R. Charles Hott Field on Saturday.

James Wood (8-2, 7-1) has scored at least 10 runs in each of its district wins and is averaging 13.6 runs in those triumphs. The Colonels, whose only district loss was 3-1 to Millbrook, travels to the Pioneers on Thursday.
